SMAW welding in Vancouver is used for field welding, structural steel work and industrial repair scopes where portability, access and reliable arc control are critical. Using a coated consumable electrode, SMAW produces shielding gas and slag protection at the weld area, making it a practical choice for carbon steel, structural connections, field repairs and selected pipe root-pass applications across Vancouver and the Lower Mainland

At CPW Contracting, SMAW welding is performed by qualified welders under approved Welding Procedure Specifications (WPS), with QA/QC documentation available for project-specific requirements. Structural welding is completed in accordance with applicable CSA W59 and CWB W47.1 requirements. Regulated pressure work is completed in accordance with applicable TSBC requirements, project specifications and inspection requirements where applicable.
